After exploring the impacts of Climate Change on Louisiana, I became particularly interested in the effects of water rise and erosion. This curiosity prompted me to research and compose my final paper on the usefulness of barrier islands and their vulnerability to the consequences of climate change, specifically focusing on a local barrier island, Grand Isle.

In an Honors class, we studied the French story (translated into English) of Manon Lescaut in 3 mediums (novel, opera, film) and wrote a paper analyzing elements from each medium.
With the LSU Honors College, a few months later, I had the opportunity to attend an opera composed by Puccini, one of the opera composers we studied in class.
